<B>1850-C $2 1/2 MS61 NGC.</B></I> Variety 12-G. The mintage of the 1850-C was limited to 9,148 pieces, although it is actually seen with slightly greater frequency than some higher mintage C-mint issues. It is ranked 15th in overall rarity and 12th in high grade rarity by Winter. The elusive Uncirculated example offered here is a bright and fully lustrous with tinges of reddish patina. Both sides enjoy sharper definition than is normally encountered on the issue and multiple clash marks are seen about the central devices, a hallmark of this die pairing.
