Incredible furnished house was found in Barcelona, Spain. House and furnishings were made with painstaking details and have remained intact since that time. Large wooden house has painted bricks on the first level. Magnificent balconies and bay windows have intricate decorative metal work throughout the three stories. Beautiful carved doors enhance this grand fatade. On the rooftop appears a cupula of oval glass windows and an outstanding metal railing with carved columns and urns. House opens from the front to reveal six furnished rooms. Furniture is in several different scales in the various rooms, but beautifully made with remarkable detail. It was also noted by the owner that the nuns made all the draperies and bed linens. Sterling silverware has monogrammed initials of the family it was made for. Great chandeliers of blown glass hang from the hand-painted ceilings of birds and flowers. Kitchen has a large built-in stove with copper lined top, a built-in soap stone sink, marble shelf holding kitchen implements and a maid dollhouse doll. The elegant dining room has beautifully carved furniture consisting of an elaborate sideboard, dining room table & chairs and several whatnot stands displaying dishes, vases, etc. Monogrammed sterling silverware is in a box next to the dining room table. Room is wallpapered in grained paper to resemble paneling. Interior doorway is heavily draped in a rose colored fabric. The elaborate bedroom on the second floor has an outstanding carved armoire with a mirror that has all the clothing made for the family. Matching the armoire is a carved walnut bed, which has all the bed linens so meticulously made by the nuns. Matching set of blue nursery furniture has wonderful linens and lace. A dollhouse doll appears to be dressed in similar fabrics and lace as the cradle. A dressing table with mirror is also in the room. The center upstairs room is furnished as a sitting room. The gothic style settee and numerous chairs including a tOte-a-tOte are finely carved and upholstered in a green fabric. Hanging from the ceiling is an outstanding glass chandelier of six globes. Mounted on two pedestals are magnificent figurines. Walls in this room have panels of wallpaper framed and trimmed with gold paint. Another one of the doorway drapes extends from the floor to the ceiling and has fancy tassels. Additional accessories and a gentleman doll appear in the room along with a rich wool carpet on the floor. In the last room on the upper right, is another parlor. An exquisite set of a sofa, arm chairs and side chairs upholstered in a pale blue silk fabric are found displayed along the walls. A pier mirror and table also match this set. Additional metal tables with numerous accessories fill the center of the room. One of the greatest glass chandeliers of eight globes with turquoise bead decoration hangs from the ceiling.
