<B>1850 $20 MS61 NGC.</B></I> The first collectible Liberty double eagle from the Philadelphia Mint, the 1850 is a fairly plentiful issue in circulated grades. The certified population does, however, drop off rapidly as one crosses the Mint State threshold. This is an exceptionally well produced coin whose devices exhibit pinpoint striking definition. The luster is smooth and frosty with modest brightness in the fields. There are a few minor abrasions that are typical for the grade, but warm, green-gold color provides memorable eye appeal.
