<B>1850 $1 MS61 NGC.</B></I> The 1850 dollar attracts a great deal of attention due to its low mintage figure of only 7,500 pieces. As might be expected, Mint State coins are not plentiful. A layer of champagne-gold and sky-blue patina rests on both sides of this MS61 specimen. The fields are partially prooflike, as is almost always the case with these coins, and yield mild contrast with well struck design elements. A few unobtrusive marks are noted.
