1849 N-1 R4 AU58.
1849 N-1 R4 AU58. Frosty light steel brown with faded mint red in protected areas. Just a trace of light friction on the highest points from mint state. The only marks are a very faint hairline in the field right of star 2 and a barely visible rim bruise over star 4. MDS, die state c (Newcomb's #15), with crumbling inside the bottom of the R in AMERICA but without any additional crumbling under the left top of the E in CENT. The bar through the center of O in OF (which was Newcomb’s attribution point for his #15) is clear. An attractive cent with mint state eye appeal. CC#4 in the Grellman census. Removed from an ANACS slab graded MS63BN (ANACS label included). DWH #2118.
Estimated Value $300-UP.
