<B>1849-D $2 1/2 AU58 NGC.</B></I> Variety 11-M. Tied with numerous other AU58 coins at the bottom of the Condition Census for this scarce Dahlonega issue. Only 25-31 examples are believed known today in the various grades of AU. This is a bright coin that shows just a slight touch of friction over the highpoints and in the fields. Sharply defined on the obverse with the usual softness on the eagle's neck and leg on the reverse.
