<B>1849-D<$2 1/2> AU55 NGC.</B></I> Variety 11-M. Well struck for the Dahlonega Mint, although the right (facing) claws and the hair bun exhibit minor bluntness. A clean and partly lustrous pale gold example. Visible marks are generally limited to a faint trail across the upper obverse field. A mere 10,945 pieces were struck.
