1849 Colt pocket model, .31 caliber percussion, 4” barrel, traces of blue and case hardened finish, two line New York address, small trigger guard, five-shot cylinder, serial number “122453”. The Colt remains in good to very good condition showing traces of original blue going to patina on the barrel and cylinder, some scattered erosion and pinprick pitting, some slightly heavier pitting at muzzle and firing areas. The hammer, loading lever, and frame show strong traces of case hardening within patina. The backstrap and triggerguard show 80-90% darkened original silver plate, the varnish wood grips are very good plus with 80-90% varnish, some wear at the edges, minor scratches, a few dings and small losses. All matching visible serial numbers, tight action, very good interior. Note: This pistol was found in original double case with lots 1037 and 1219. Est: $800 - $1,600
