<B>1849-C<$5> MS60 NGC.</B></I> Variety 13-F. A rare obverse die for this Charlotte Mint issue. The date is better centered beneath the portrait in comparison with the usual Variety 12-F, which has the date far left. While most Southern specialists acquire by date and not by die marriage, this may change as knowledge of scarcer varieties becomes known. The current example is well struck by C-mint standards, and is free from any unpleasant abrasions.
