<B>1849-C $5 AU58 PCGS.</B></I> Variety 12-F, late die state. The reverse has a prominent die crack from the leaves to the left serif of U, as normally seen. Early die states without the crack are much scarcer. The central design elements are weak, especially on the obverse. Brilliant green-gold luster is evident on both sides of this near-Mint specimen.
