<B>1848 United Bowmen of Philadelphia Medal AU50 Uncertified.</B></I> Silver. 38mm. Produced for an archery club of Philadelphia, whose members included portrait artist Thomas Sully and renowned architect John Haviland. The obverse shows a Roman head facing left, with bow and arrows beneath. On the reverse, peripheral legends read "UNITED BOWMEN" (above), and "OF PHILADELPHIA" (below).
