1848 N-44 R6 VF25.
1848 N-44 R6 VF25. Ten points sharper with a few light contact marks, including a very short horizontal scratch near the dentils over star 3, a tiny rim nick left of star 5, and a couple others right of star 12. The reverse shows a fresh, dull scrape down through the first T in STATES and a few tiny digs inside the wreath. Choice glossy chocolate brown which gives this cent nice eye appeal in spite of the marks. M-LDS, die state b. The die lines over UN are gone and the field is rising around much of the legend. The dies were freshly lapped and the fields are slightly reflective. CC#6 in the Grellman census. DWH #2115.
Estimated Value $200-UP.
