<B>1847-O $5 --Damaged, Polished--ANACS. XF45 Details.</B></I> Per Winter, the 1847-O is the rarest New Orleans Mint half eagle, both overall and in high grades. Only 12,000 pieces were struck, and Winter estimates that only 40 to 50 pieces are known.
