<B>1847-O $2 1/2 AU55 NGC.</B></I> The generous mintage of 124,000 pieces in New Orleans dwarfs the mintages from the other three mints combined--Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Denver--that produced quarter eagles in this year. The light yellow-gold surfaces show minor contact marks on each side. Above the right side of the mintmark is a raised, curved line.
