1846 N-15 R4+ MS60+.
1846 N-15 R4+ MS60+. Satiny bluish steel brown with faded mint color showing through on about 25% of each side. A small spot of very slightly darker toning in the field left of star 11 and a tiny planchet flake at the dentils under the ribbon loop at the bottom of the wreath are the best identifying marks, and they are barely visible. Would rate a choice grade except for some extremely faint hairlines on the obverse. Very sharply struck E-MDS, die state b. The obverse die cracks are weak but visible and a very fine crack extends up to the dentils from the center of the left top of the U in UNITED. CC#6 in the Grellman census. Removed from an NCS slab graded Uncirculated details improperly cleaned (the NCS label is included, and it shows the attribution and Reiver provenance). Comes with a great provenance. DWH #2975.
Estimated Value $1,000-UP.
