<B>1846-D $2 1/2 AU50 PCGS.</B></I> Variety 7-H. The 1846-D quarter eagle is not particularly rare although the uninitiated might look at the mintage of 19,303 coins and think otherwise. However, the reality is that this mintage is actually the third <I>largest</B></I> mintage of any Dahlonega quarter eagle date. This piece has rich green-gold color with hints of orange toning.
