<B>1846<$2 1/2> AU58 PCGS.</B></I> Breen-6181. Breen's "overdate" variety, which shows recutting on all four digits. The cause of this is likely a defective punch, similar to the 1846/'5' eagle and the WB-102 and WB-103 1846 half dollar. Glowing luster illuminates the borders and device outlines, and neither the fields nor the crisply struck devices display unpleasant marks. Just 21,598 pieces were struck. Population: 4 in 58, 7 finer (9/06).
