<B>1846 $10 XF45 NGC.</B></I> The best that collectors seeking an 1846 ten dollar gold piece can expect is XF or AU, as Mint State coins are nearly unknown. Indeed, NGC has certified a mere two examples, and PCGS has graded none (3/07). The Choice XF specimen offered in this lot displays bright yellow-gold surfaces with traces of luster in the protected areas, and the design features are well defined, save for smoothness in the hair over Liberty's ear.
