<B>1844-O $5 MS63 ICG.</B></I> This luminous sun-gold No Motto O-mint half eagle is crisply struck, with only a hint of softness on the curls and fletchings. Unabraded except for a pair of tiny ticks at 10 o'clock on the reverse. In its November 1973 auction appearance, the present piece was offered as a proof, and stated as the Parmelee specimen.
