<B>1843-O $2 1/2 Small Date, Crosslet 4 MS61 NGC.</B></I> A lustrous yellow-gold example of this variety, the more common of two design variants from the New Orleans Mint in 1843 (the other being the Large Date, Plain 4 type). Softly struck on the eagle, with numerous tiny, grade-limiting marks.
