<B>1843-C $5 VF35 NGC.</B></I> Winter only lists a single variety, but two reverses are known, with roughly equal rarity. The mintmark locations are similar, but the present piece shows the mintmark over the right half of the V, instead of closer to centered above the V. This almond-gold Charlotte Mint five has a few tiny subdued marks on the upper right reverse field.
