<B>1843-C $2 1/2 Large Date, Plain 4 AU53 NGC.</B></I> Variety 5-D. The pale straw-gold surfaces of this Charlotte quarter eagle exhibit subtle radiance. Softly detailed as always, particularly on Liberty's central curls and on the eagle's leg and neck, though the degree of actual wear is slight. Small, scattered abrasions pepper the devices and the obverse fields.
