A very interesting letter from straight line "TAGHMON" and a circular Waterford date stamp to EAST INDIA HOUSE, London, a letter from an Irish mother enquiring if Gunner John Roach is still a live, he was serving with the 2nd Battalion Bengal Artillery and died at Dinapore 20th Sept 1829, his estate was 39 Rupees 4 Annas 9 pies, (less than three pounds) which was delivered to the Bengal Treasury on 18 August 1830. £50-60
