<B>1842 S$1 MS62 PCGS.</B></I> With a business strike mintage of 184,618 pieces, this issue is one of the most plentiful of all Liberty Seated dollars. Examples are relatively abundant in VF to AU grades, and while occasionally available in MS60 to MS63, Mint State examples generally present a challenge to locate. The MS62 specimen in this lot displays bright surfaces that are untoned save for the slightest hint of light tan color at portions of the obverse margins. The strike is typical for the date in that minor softness is visible in some of the star centers, in Liberty's hair, and the eagle's neck feathers.
