<B>1842 S$1 AU55 NGC.</B></I> In 1842 the business strike emission of Seated dollars was recorded as 184,618 pieces, a considerable mintage for the time. This piece shows a touch of rub on Liberty's head, bosom, and on the eagle's neck, but much luster remains under the light silver-orange patina.
