<B>1842-C<$2 1/2> AU55 NGC.</B></I> Variety 3-B. Just 6,729 pieces were produced for this challenging Charlotte issue. The remaining luster has a deep reddish-gold hue, and the rest of the piece is light yellow-gold in color. Striking softness is generally localized to the eagle's left (facing) leg. One minor mark is noted above the final star, but the overall appearance is unblemished and bright. Census: 8 in 55, 11 finer (9/06).
