<B>1841 $5 AU53 PCGS.</B></I> This is an attractive, obviously original example with pleasing green-gold coloration and glimmers of faint luster near the devices. The piece displays slight highpoint wear and a few minor marks on each side. Purchased in the 1930's at face value by Karl Stecher Sr. from coins turned in by the public as per President Roosevelt's March 9, 1933 directive. A collector's envelope is included, and is noted "1841 Gold 5.00 v.f."
