Half Dollars 1840 Small Letters. PCGS graded Mint State 62. <b>Of the two letter sizes this year, those having small letters are more commonly seen, though still scarce in Uncirculated condition. The present offering has deep purple-gray to blue toning that envelopes both sides in its warm embrace. Spot-free and well preserved, the coin also boasts outstanding detail on all stars, on Liberty and the eagle, rims, rim denticles and legends.
