<B>1840-O 25C Drapery, Large O MS63 PCGS.</B></I> Briggs 1-B, FS-501. Larry Briggs pegged the population of the 1840-O With Drapery, Large O issue at 16 pieces in 1991, and while at least two previously unknown Mint State examples have come to light since then, the variety's popularity remains undiminished. This remarkable coin easily ranks among the best-preserved representatives, not only of the Large O variant, but of all 1840-O With Drapery survivors.<BR> The eye appeal of this example compares favorably with that of the finest piece offered previously by Heritage, lot 6510 in the July 1994 ANA Convention sale, which was graded MS63 as well. On the reverse, the two sets of dentils that surround the design, one weak, the other strong, conclusively identify the variety.
