<B>1840<$2 1/2> AU58 NGC.</B></I> A smooth straw-gold near-Mint example of this introductory Liberty quarter eagle issue. Typically struck, but pleasing due to the absence of detrimental marks. The reverse exhibits three slender, lengthy die cracks to the eagle. A mere 18,859 pieces were struck. Housed in a prior generation holder. Census: 7 in 58, 14 finer (9/06).
