<B>1839-O $2 1/2 AU58 PCGS.</B></I> High Date, Wide Fraction. Breen-6152, McCloskey-A, R.3. The 1839-O represents the initial quarter eagle production at the New Orleans Mint. The issue is also noteworthy for an obverse mintmark. Bright luster illuminates the margins and devices of this crisply struck straw-gold piece. A pair of hair-thin marks left of the portrait are of little consequence.
