<B>1839-O $2 1/2 AU55 PCGS.</B></I> High Date, Wide Fraction, Breen-6152, McCloskey-A, R.3. The '39-O is essentially for New Orleans type sets, since it is the sole Classic quarter eagle issue. The low mintage of 17,781 ensures its scarcity. Two die varieties are known, with the Wide Fraction variety a bit more available. This almond-gold piece has a pleasing strike and smooth, subdued surfaces.
