Lustrous chocolate brown with splashes of reddish chocolate toning on the right side of the obverse and bluish steel overtones on the reverse. The reverse is highly lustrous and has faded mint red remaining in the protected areas. A tiny vertical nick right of star 1 and a very small nick under the right end of the line below cent are the notable marks, and they are barely visible. The portrait is very sharply struck while the legends and stars are a bit mushed out, as usual. M-LDS.
