<B>1839<H10C> No Drapery MS66 PCGS.</B></I> V-2. Much scarcer than the 1838 No Drapery variety. The 3 and 9 are obviously recut, and stars 5, 6, 8, 9, and 10 show "minor defects," as Valentine puts it. This is a delightful, beautiful, and problem-free example of this popular subtype, boasting lustrous silver centers on each side bounded by a ring of russet and ice-blue on each side. This well struck piece shows some faded clash marks on the reverse. Population: 17 in 66, 5 finer (9/06).
