<B>1839 50C No Drapery AU58 NGC.</B></I> WB-101. Extensive reverse die cracks show on this coin, from the same die used to strike the "so-called proofs" of this issue, as Wiley and Bugert phrase it. A crack runs from left of the H in HALF counterclockwise to the E in AMERICA, while a second joins the rim with the nearby olive leaf, continuing upward onto the shield and through the right (facing) wing to the R in AMERICA. Much luster remains despite the slight rub, with copper-gold toning.
