<B>1839 10C No Drapery MS66 NGC.</B></I> Fortin-106, Early Die State. This die is characterized by the vertical die crack directly above Liberty's head and several die striations in the left obverse field above the rock. More than a million pieces were struck of this three-year type coin. As such, it is available in mint condition but, of course, it is rare in MS66. This is a richly toned coin whose pale violet centers are surrounded by deep blue at the margins. Bright underlying mint luster further enhances the tonal qualities. Fully struck in all areas.
