1838-O H10C No Stars MS62 NGC
1838-O H10C No Stars MS62 NGC. The No Stars half dime is a scarce two-year type that is highly popular with collectors. It was only produced at the Philadelphia Mint in 1837, and at the New Orleans Mint in 1838. This example is generally well struck except for Liberty's shield and the date. Variegated green, red, blue, and gold patina occurs on each side, over the primary medium-gray color. The luster is somewhat weak, and a shallow abrasion appears near the center of the shield, but these flaws are not inconsistent with the assigned grade level. Census: 2 in 62, 5 finer (11/07).

Coin Engraver: Christian Gobrecht

Shipping: Coins & Currency (view shipping information)
