1838 N-5 R1 PCGS graded MS65 BrownLustrous light chocolate with faint overtones of light bluish steel in the fields with a few tiny peeps of faded mint red in protected areas on the obverse. Just a few tiny marks including a pair of small nicks in the dentils under the 18, a tiny planchet chip hidden in the hair over BE (as struck), and a tiny speck of carbon in the dentils over the E in STATES. M-LDS, die state b. The spike from the base of the coronet is reduced to a tiny bump and the reverse legend is weak from die wear and lapping. Called MS65 and CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #27130. Bland says MS62 and CC#2. Our grade is MS63+.Certificate Number: 37192.65/13085027Pedigree: Ex Hassan Hamden 5/1990-James R.
