<B>1838 10C Partial Drapery MS66 PCGS.</B></I> Although usually collected as part of the regular set and variety sets, the mislabeled Partial Drapery is actually the result of die clashing from the E in DIME on the reverse, rather than a conscious design decision or one produced by die lapping. Brian Greer's <I>The Complete Guide to Liberty Seated Dimes</B></I> calls this variety "scarce ... but examples can be cherrypicked with patience. Slightly scarcer than the 1838 Small Stars." This example is well struck and extremely lustrous with bright, semi-reflective fields, with a light touch of copper-gold over the reverse.
