1837 N-4 R2 PCGS graded MS66RB. PCGS graded MS-66 Red & Brown. Plain Hair Cord with Medium Letters. Lustrous mint red fading to bluish steel brown, two-thirds of the red showing on the obverse but only 15% remaining on the reverse. The only marks are some tiny swipes of bluish steel toning on both sides, including one under the 1 in the date, plus a tiny speck of carbon near the dentils just right of the date. M-LDS with fine die flowlines covering the fields and the top of NITED-ST weakened by die wear. Called MS65 and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #20799.
