1837 N-15 R3 NGC graded MS64BN. NGC graded MS-64 Brown. Plain Hair Cord with Medium Letters. Glossy light olive and medium brown with faded mint red covering 10-15% of both sides. There are a couple faint wisps of slightly darker toning at stars 1-3, a speck of dark toning at the right foot of the N in ONE, and two thin nick on the neck. MDS with the second die crack up from the top of the R in AMERICA and the single crack from that C to the dentils above both considerably thicker than they are on the preceding example. A thin but clear rim cud break shows on the rim over star 8 to right star 9 with a weaker one from star 11 to star 12. Called MS60+ and CC#1 in the Bland census. Noyes says MS60 net AU55 and tied for CC#3, his photo #20974. Our grade is MS60. PCGS Population 1; none finer. Estimated Value $1,500-UP.
