1837 N-15 R3 NGC graded MS63BN. NGC graded MS-63 Brown. Plain Hair Cord with Medium Letters. Glossy uniform chocolate brown with overtones of bluish steel in protected areas. Frosty mint luster covers the fields and the eye appeal is excellent. A tiny diagonal nick right of the D in UNITED is the best identifying mark. E-MDS with a second die crack up from the top of the R in AMERICA to the earlier radial crack extending up the dentils from the left edge of that letter. This rim cud breaks show at star 8, star 9, and from just below star 11 to star 12. Called MS60 and tied for CC#1 in the Noyes census, his photo #20772. Bland says AU55 and tied for CC#3. Both agree there are only 2 mint state examples, they just disagree on which ones are really mint state. Our grade is MS60. NGC Population 1; 1 finer in 64BN. Estimated Value $1,500-UP.
