<B>1837 H10C Small Date (Flat Top 1) MS65 NGC.</B></I> 1837 is a confusing year for half dime neophytes. The Capped Bust and Seated designs were both in use. The Seated issue has Small and Large Date varieties that are actually similar in size. Both varieties are also known as No Stars, since they lack the stars added to the obverse in 1838. This well struck and satiny Gem features rich gold, lilac, and navy-blue toning.
