1837 Feuchtwanger Three Cents MS61 NGC. HT-263, R.5. The otherwise sharp strike wanes a little over the eagle's right (facing) leg feathers on the obverse and in the corresponding area on the reverse. Both sides are tinged in delicate copper iridescence with remarkably distraction-free features for the assigned grade. Some planchet flaws (as struck) are noted over the lower obverse. Feuchtwanger produced all of his 1837 One Cent and Three Cent patterns while located at 2 Cortlandt Street in New York City.
