<B>1837 50C MS64 PCGS.</B></I> JR-6, Die State a. Attributed by recutting on the 7 in the date, a crack from the rim through stars 4, 5, 6, the curl and cap to stars 8 and 9, and a crack from the bottom of the N in CENTS that travels left through 50 CE, the leaves, wing tip, the bottom of UNITED ST to the middle of A, and another crack from the top of the first T in STATES through ATES, the bottom of OF AMER, up through IC to the top of A, through the arrowheads to the top of E in CENTS.<BR> Variegated medium intensity cobalt-blue, lavender, and gray-tan patination bathes each side of this near-Gem half dollar. The design elements display excellent delineation, except for minor softness in some of the star centers, and soft luster rests on generally well preserved surfaces.
