From the seventh series of Bechtler coinage. Struck in gold from South Carolina, with a plain edge. This piece is sharply defined, with the reverse die rotated counterclockwise by approximately 150 degrees. The surfaces are faintly prooflike and exhibit green-gold toning. This piece is tied with five others as one of the finest known examples of K-13 (two are from PCGS). Listed on page 349 of the 2008 <I>Guide Book</B></I>.
