<B>(1837-42) $2 1/2 C. Bechtler Quarter Eagle, 70G. 20C. MS62 NGC.</B></I> K-13, R.6. The four letter As on the obverse are all inverted Vs, without crossbars. From the seventh series of Bechtler coinage. Struck in gold from South Carolina, with a plain edge. This piece is sharply defined, with the reverse die rotated counterclockwise by approximately 150 degrees. The surfaces are faintly prooflike and exhibit green-gold toning. This piece is tied with five others as one of the finest known examples of K-13 (two are from PCGS). Listed on page 349 of the 2008 <I>Guide Book</B></I>. NGC Census: 4 in 62, 0 finer at either service (6/07). <BR><I>From The Stephen L.
