1836 N-1 R1+ PCGS graded MS64 BrownLustrous bluish steel brown and light olive with traces of red remaining on both sides. The surfaces are satiny and this cent has very nice eye appeal. There are some small spots of lighter and darker toning on both sides including one between the top of the 1 and the bust, and the only notable contact mark is a tiny tick on the right top of the C in CENT. LDS with a die crack arcing through the coronet to the dentils at stars 5 & 8, another through the top of TES, one at F-AM, and a bisecting die crack from the first S in STATES to the R in AMERICA. The fields are wavy and slightly rough from die flowlines and erosion, especially on the obverse. The dies have not been lapped yet in an attempt to remove this roughness, and the repunching on the peak of the 1 is clear. Called MS60 and tied for CC#4 in the Noyes census, his photo #27362. AUCTION TERMS OF SALE
1. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the buyer. In case of dispute the auctioneer may at his sole discretion reopen a lot. In all cases the auctioneer’s decision shall be final and binding on bidders.
2. The auctioneer reserves the right to refuse to honor any bid which, at his sole discretion, he feels is not submitted in good faith. The auctioneer may withdraw any lot, without prior notice, for any reason whatsoever.
3. All sales are payable in U. S. funds immediately upon receipt of invoice unless other arrangements have been made prior to the sale. Lots will not be released to buyers until paid for in full. Lots delivered in state of sale are subject to all applicable state and local taxes unless appropriate permits are on file with us.
4. Postage will be added to the invoice of all successful mail bidders.
5. A 20% buyer’s fee will be added to all invoices.
6. Please keep in mind this is not an approval sale. All sales are considered final. Sales to the floor may not be returned for any reason save authenticity. Sales to mail bidders are final unless lot proves to have been mis-attributed.

Lots will open at one increment above second highest mail/phone bidder.
