<B>1836 50C Reeded Edge AU50 NGC.</B></I> Collectors have long been tantalized by the low mintage of 1,200 pieces for the 1836 Reeded Edge half. Most survivors are in VF to AU grades, so the issue was struck for circulation and remained there, at least until the aftermath of the 1849 Gold Rush.
