1835 N-14 R2 Head of 1836 PCGS graded MS64 Brown
Frosty light brown on the obverse with bluish steel brown and mint red on the reverse. At least a third of the reverse shows mint color. The surfaces are lustrous but there are a couple marks. A spot over the head catches your eye and there are two other small spots: one on the neck and another between stars 2 & 3. A hairline right of the upper lip is the only notable sign of contact. Nicely struck EDS but not quite the earliest with smooth fields on the obverse and a slight bulge at the dentil tips over star 10. Our grade is MS60+. Housed in a small OGH "rattler" slab.
