1835 N-14 R2 Head of 1836 PCGS graded MS64 Brown
Lustrous light brown with subtle overtones of light bluish steel, particularly on the obverse. Traces of mint red remain visible on the obverse and at least 5% of the reverse shows mint red. The surfaces are satiny and the eye appeal of this cent is excellent. Just a few microscopic marks including a speck of dark toning in the field under the chin, some barely visible hairlines at stars 12 & 13, and a few more at the feet of the second A in AMERICA. MDS with very fine flowlines in the fields. The center dot on the reverse is tiny but still visible. Our grade is MS60 but it has the eye appeal of a higher grade. The attribution is noted on the PCGS label.
